The London Waste and Recycling Board (LWARB) is recruiting a team of Business Advisors and a Project Manager to deliver a three-year Circular Economy SME business support project. The team will support London SMEs to transition to circular economy business models or scale-up existing circular economy business models.

The project will be funded by the European Regional Development Fund and is scheduled to start in January 2017*.

LWARB is seeking an experienced Business Advice Manager to lead the team, supported by two Senior Business Advisors and a Business Advisor. The team will provide mentoring and support to SMEs across the city, developing business cases, undertaking market analysis and facilitating access to finance. An experienced ERDF Project Manager is also sought to manage the delivery of the project and ensure compliance with ERDF regulations.

Business Advice Manager

Grade 9: £54,850 – £60,582

Job Description: LWARB CEBSP ERDF – Business Advice Manager

The Business Advice Manager will be responsible for developing the business engagement strategy and promoting awareness of the service through strategic networking. They will manage the delivery of the programme’s outcomes through overseeing the successful scoping and fulfilment of the support interventions identified for each SME.

Senior Business Advisor

Grade 8: £51,273 – £56,594

Job Description: LWARB CEBSP ERDF – Senior Business Advisor

An experienced business support professional is required for the role of Senior Business Advisor. They will work with the SMEs engaged with the programme to identify and deliver a set of support interventions to allow  businesses to explore circular economy business models.

Senior Business Advisor (Circular Economy)

Grade 8: £51,273 – £56,594

Job Description: LWARB CEBSP ERDF – Senior Business Advisor – Circular Economy

As with the Senior Business Advisor, an experienced business support professional is required to develop and deliver support interventions for the SMEs engaged with the programme. Further to this, this role requires previous experience of the circular economy and circular economy business models. The successful candidate will support the other members of the team in their understanding of the circular economy principles and their relevance to SMEs.

Business Advisor

Grade 6: £40,257 – £44,464

Job Description: LWARB CEBSP ERDF – Business Advisor

The Business Advisor will be the key contact for SMEs engaged with the programme. They will undertake the initial assessment of eligibility and support the development and delivery of the business support activities.

ERDF Project Manager

Grade 6: £40,257 – £44,464

Job Description: LWARB CEBSP ERDF – ERDF Project Manager

An experienced Project Manager with previous experience of delivering EU funded projects is required to fulfil this role. They will be responsible for ensuring the project is delivered in an ERDF compliant manner. They will manage the budget for the project and will be responsible for submitting all funding claims to the Managing Authority.

All five roles will be on 3-year fixed term contracts until 31st December 2019

LWARB is a statutory Board established to provide a strategic approach to waste management in London. It has been tasked with producing the route map to accelerate London’s transition to a more circular economy by 2050.
