Position: Commercial Manager
Duration: Permanent, Full time.
Grade 9, Salary £57,637 – £63,660
The London Waste and Recycling Board (LWARB) is looking for an experienced commercial manager to implement our commercial strategy which sits at the heart of our ambitious 2020-25 Business Plan. We deliver a wide-ranging programme of activities aimed at reducing waste and increasing recycling across London, all with the goal of accelerating London’s transition to a low carbon circular economy. We want to use our relationships, skills and knowledge to generate a commercial revenue stream based on a suite of products and services for London’s boroughs, other UK and international cities and businesses.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience of developing, converting and overseeing opportunities that have already been identified (including a training academy, a directory for circular products and services and consultancy) as well as new concepts which respond to market demand. The candidate will also have an important role to play in ensuring that LWARB has the culture, skills and tools to be commercially successful. Experience of working in a role with environmental impact would be advantageous, but not essential.
The London Waste and Recycling Board (LWARB) is a partnership of the Mayor of London and the London boroughs to improve waste and resource management. The city’s economic and environmental future depends on our transitioning to a low-carbon circular economy, and at LWARB we work to ensure that London’s businesses, local government and communities thrive by helping them make the very best use of resources and materials.
London’s diversity is its biggest asset and we wish to ensure our workforce reflects that diversity at all levels. We welcome applications from everyone regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, faith or disability, and actively encourage applications from BAME individuals who are currently under-represented in our organisation.
