LWARB vacancy

Position: Events executive (intern) – Circular Economy Week 2020

Duration: 2½ – 3 Months, starting mid-April to 1st May 2020. Full time.

Salary: £21,353 (pro-rata)

The London Waste and Recycling Board (LWARB) plays an important role in delivering the Mayor of London’s aspiration for the capital to be a leading global low carbon circular city and is a partnership of the Mayor and London’s councils. Over the last five years, LWARB, through its Circular London programme, has become recognised as a world leader in circular economy thinking and practice.

This role has been created to help us deliver our third Circular Economy Week and is a unique and exciting opportunity to engage diverse stakeholders and thought leaders from London and beyond on climate change and the role that circular economy can play in tackling some of its worst effects. The postholder will play an active part in growing Circular Economy Week’s reach and impact by delivering a world-leading schedule of events and working with partners to help them run events of their own.

You’ll be part of a dedicated small team of communications and sustainability experts, in an organisation which puts the reduction of London’s consumption-based emissions of CO2e at its core by focusing on reducing waste and increasing recycling in the city. You’ll need to be enthusiastic, proactive and genuinely determined to make a difference.

London’s diversity is its biggest asset and we wish to ensure our workforce reflects that diversity at all levels. We welcome applications from everyone regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, faith or disability, and actively encourage applications from BAME individuals who are currently underrepresented in our organisation.
