We’re looking for three Circular Economy Advisors
The London Waste and Recycling Board plays an important role in delivering the Mayor of London’s aspiration for the capital to be a leading global low carbon circular city and is a partnership of the Mayor and London’s councils. Over the last five years, the London Waste and Recycling Board (LWARB), through its Circular London programme, has become recognised as a world leader in circular economy thinking and practice.
Our soon to be published Business Plan, recently approved by the board, commits us to increase our impact, provide expert help and advice to London’s local authorities and develop commercial services for businesses and other cities in the UK and internationally.
Who we are looking for
The Business Plan and some internal reassignments means that we need additional dynamic and highly motivated team members to drive delivery of our plan and support London’s aspiration to use circular economy principles to rapidly decrease emissions, reduce waste and increase recycling. The new team members will join the existing team and be at the heart of the delivery of our work programme. The work programme includes:
- promotion of circular economy principles through high impact projects in key sectors including food, plastics, textiles and the built environment and the promotion of new business models to reduce waste and increase reuse and sharing; and
- the delivery of our commercialisation strategy as we develop new products and services to promote the circular economy in London and provide advice to businesses and cities in the UK and internationally.
We are looking for Circular Economy Senior Advisors and Circular Economy Advisors to complement our existing expertise and capabilities and build a team with the optimum coverage of the food, plastics and textiles industries and policy, strategy, analytics and project management capabilities.
If you have knowledge of those sectors and capabilities and want to be at the forefront of making a major difference by reducing London’s emissions and promoting circular economy principles and businesses in the city and beyond, we offer a flexible work environment and a commitment to personal development as part of a friendly and dynamic team.
These hires are in addition to our recruitment in the Advance London programme. Advance London is Circular London’s pioneering small business support programme which has a mission to “make the circular economy everyone’s business – see link.
