The London Waste and Recycling Board (LWARB) is a statutory body which is a partnership of the Mayor of London and London’s boroughs. LWARB’s mission is to change the way we live and do business in London to ensure the city thrives by making the very best use of all materials and resources.

LWARB aims to increase recycling and accelerate the development of a circular economy in London. We invest in circular economy start-ups and innovative early stage businesses; and provide help and advice to SMEs that want to develop circular economy business models, as well as working with waste collection and disposal authorities, providing help and advice. Our aspirations are to make London the world’s leading city for Circular Economy, and this is where you come in as our new Head of Programme – Circular Economy.

This is an exciting and crucial post for us as you will play a key role in creating the right conditions for a circular economy to flourish in London. Your role will be to develop our circular economy strategy and vision and accelerate London’s transition to a Circular Economy by promoting our vital work and programmes, including updating and revising our Circular Economy Routemap for London.

This role gives you direct involvement with London’s key decision makers in the rapidly evolving environmental sector. We are looking for individuals with a track record in the circular economy or related environmental sector, who can support us to create a flourishing circular economy in London and beyond. You will need drive, to be innovative and able to influence and negotiate with a diverse set of stakeholders across the public and private sectors.
